Cadillac may not have the record for the fastest car in the world, but now they can boast that they have created the fastest, most responsive suspension on the market. Cadillac's fourth-generation Magnetic Ride Control System is not exactly new technology, but it has gotten a major tweak this year that makes it so quick that the suspension responds instantly to road conditions to keep all four tires on the ground most of the time. The update improves the dampening function of the shocks by around 45-percent. Such a significant upgrade makes for an ultra-smooth ride with superior control that makes the Cadillac CT5-V, Cadillac CT4-V, Cadillac CT5 Sport, and 2021 Cadillac Escalade exhilarating to drive. You can check out all of these models at Fairfield's Cadillac, Buick, GMC, Inc and see how smooth the drive is from Keen to Peterborough, even when those roads get a little rough.
How MagneRide 4.0 Works
Unlike mechanical valve shock absorbers, MagneRide 4.0 is made up of an electric control shocks with fluid inside made up of minute magnetized iron particles. These particles are sensitive to magnetic field changes and either firm up the fluid or loosen it by changing the viscosity depending on what road conditions the sensors are picking on their scan. Because this system uses magnetic fields, the sensor and response of the fluid are instantaneous, so the shocks adjust to changing road conditions immediately in real-time.
